"DARY Human" and "Care International in Iraq" organizations have expanded their project to support those post-conflict affected people by strengthening primary healthcare services and protect from gender-based violence, which is located in Anbar Governorate, western Iraq.
The expansion process included Al-Wahda Healthcare Center in Fallujah, Al-Shuhada Healthcare Center, an Referral (ambulance call center), and Al-Khaldiyah Maternity unit in Al-Khalidiya district, after last year 2019 it was limited to Al-Wahda PHCC.
The new services included primary health care, sexual ,reproductive and maternal health (SRMH), normal deliveries (NVD), pre- and post-natal care (ANC - PNC), family planning, treating sexually transmitted diseases (STIs), providing reproductive health medications, referral to secondary healthcare centers, and promoting community health about reproductive and maternal health.It also included the provision of laboratory equipment, Kits, ultrasound and dental equipment for Al Wahda and Al Shuhada PHCCs, in addition to rehabilitating the Referral center and training the staff on the basics of Life support (BLS) .
Last year project achieved great success, after it provided SRMH services, community awareness and training of health staff of DoH anbar within Al Wahda PHCC in Fallujah with support and funding from CARE International in Iraq and the German Federal Foreign office (GFFO).
